2006 Arrives in December. Husband Paul buys into Underworld and she fails to impress staff with her high-handed manner.
2007 Covers up accidental death of Polish factory worker who was not covered by company's insurance. Goes into business with Leanne Battersby. Discovers Leanne's a prostitute and Paul was a customer. Paul dies after kidnapping Leanne and crashing car. Inherits Paul's share of Underworld and works with brother-in-law Liam Connor. Dates Tony Gordon, a client.
2008 Admits to herself she's in love with Liam. Tries - but fails - to stop his marriage to Maria Sutherland. Accepts Tony's proposal. Sleeps with Liam. Caught by Rosie Webster on camera kissing Liam. Blackmails Liam into selling her his share of Underworld. Secretly goes into business with him and Tom Kerrigan. Sleeps with Liam again. Devastated when Liam's killed in a hit-and-run (orchestrated by jealous Tony). Goes to stay with friends in America. Returns in December and marries Tony.
2009 Tony confesses his part in Liam's death. Carla flees, arranging for Luke Strong to look after her business interests. Due to return in October. Returns and denies any involvement in Jimmy's death. Goes into business with Nick Tilsley, running Underworld together.
2010 Starts an ill-fated relationship with binman Trevor. Is held kidnap by ex-con Robbie, hired by Tony Gordon to kill her. But it's Tony himself, escaped from prison, who wants to off Carla and Hayley. He takes them hostage in Underworld, but in the melee Carla manages to escape, while Tony dies in the fire. Later turns to drink to cope with her tragic life and turns to fellow alcoholic Peter Barlow for support - and possibly more...
